Eleanor Parker in Home from the Hill

In 1960, Eleanor Parker and Robert Mitchum made their only screen appearance together in Home from the Hill. The film also featured career-making performances from two young actors, George Peppard and George Hamilton.

Home from the Hill is a two and half hour CinemaScope epic and Eleanor Parker, though she does not receive all that much screen-time, plays an integral role. She does a Southern accent in the movie and handles it quite well. Eleanor Parker shares most of her scenes with fellow screen veteran Robert Mitchum (it's a shame the two couldn't have done something else together), but also has great scenes with George Peppard and George Hamilton. All in all it's a fantastic film and Eleanor Parker's presence only serves to enhance the proceedings.
